Description

The Center for Mind / Brain Sciences (CiMEC) at the University of Trento is a new  interdisciplinary center for teaching and research  in cognitive neuroscience, directed by prof. Alfonso Caramazza. The activities of the Centre are organized around  several labs, among which the Language, Interaction  and Computation Lab, devoted to the study of  verbal and non-verbal communication using a combination of cognitive and computational methods. 

In this first year of activity of CiMEC, each Lab will organize an Inaugural Workshop. The  Inaugural Workshop of the  Language, Interaction and Computation Lab will feature a number of international speakers from areas including linguistics and language technology, embodied communication and adaptive interfaces, computational modelling of the acquisition of lexical and commonsense knowledge, ontologies and artificial intelligence.

The inaugural workshop of CLIC will be held in conjunction with  DECALOG, the Tenth International Workshop on the Semantics and Pragmatics of Dialogues.

The workshop will be held at the "Sala Conferenze - Palazzo della Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Trento e Rovereto" (Piazza Rosmini, 5 in Rovereto).
